We treat a business as a scientific problem
Most software makes an estimate and asks you to trust it. We built our own engines instead: one family that measures what is true of a place and a moment, and another that reasons on it — turning those measurements into logistics, plans and predictions that hold.
Having the data is one thing. Knowing what it asserts, and what to do next, is the harder thing, and it is the one we built for. We can build the whole suite for a problem — the measurement, the reasoning, and the software you actually use — carried to the precision the problem demands and shipped with the means to check it.
Made to earn their place in your business.
What we care about
Four things, and what each one made us build
- Your business.
So we build efficiency software that relieves the pressure on what you already spend — and, where we can, makes you more.
- Your privacy.
So we build stateless machines that remember nothing, and you keep your data.
- Your peace of mind.
So we build deterministic calculators, and each one can verify its own output.
- Your time.
So we build interfaces you can drive through whichever AI you already talk to.
Our software
The suite
Five topics. Four establish what is true of a place and a moment; the fifth decides what to do about it.
The topics we cover the basic suite
-
Sky
Planets, the Moon, eclipses, an 8,870-star catalogue, rise and set, and what is visible tonight — with five calendars computed rather than tabulated.
-
Earth
Ground truth for a place: elevation and horizon for any coordinate, from our own survey index rather than a third-party lookup.
-
Body
The body clock: light exposure, sleep and wake timing, and travel across time zones, from the sun at the person's own place.
-
Weather
Forecast and climate from named models, delivered for the same place and instant as everything else, so the topics can answer one question together.
-
Logistics
Allocation, scheduling and consolidation, and the intelligence that sits on top of them: what goes where, how little will do, and what actually follows from the data you already hold — each answer with the reasoning that holds it up.
Where we have already combined them three industries, ready to integrate
Combining the topics for one industry is the slow part of a project like this. For these three it is already done — which is why bringing such a business in is quick.
-
Daylight
Daylight and sunlight for UK planning: the BRE 209 tests — sky component, daylight factor, no-sky line, sunlight hours, garden amenity, overshadowing — run on the real building geometry, and delivered as a report the consultant signs, with the workings and the error bounds behind every number.
What you getEvery BRE 209 test on your geometry.A report under your own name.Cross-checked against Radiance, error bounds published.
-
RoomBalance
Intelligence, logistics and optimisation software for a hotel business: the work planned against the day the house is actually having, cooling aimed at the rooms the sun is on, and every property judged on the same basis — consultancy, logistics, energy, strategy, product development and guest comfort.
What you getSix services, every property on one basis.Every number from your own book.Keep the systems you run — or have the missing one built.
-
CargoBalance
Freight consolidation: an order packed into containers under weight and volume, groupage per sailing, and the re-book when a carrier rolls your allocation — each answer with the bound beneath it.
What you getAn order packed into containers.Groupage per sailing. An Operations Book that re-checks itself.
What we sell
Bespoke software
An application built for your problem, running on engines we operate. We approach it the way we approach a measurement: establish what is actually true of your operation, then build the thing that decides on it.
- Your problem, not a template. We take the operation as it is — your files, your places, your dates — and build for it. No seats to buy, no dashboard with your logo on it.
- It is automation, in the end. Every variable the software settles is a decision nobody on your team has to make again. The time, the money and the hassle come back every day it runs, for as long as you run it.
- The answer arrives with its evidence. Carried to the precision the problem demands, and shipped with its own verification, so your people can check it the way we can.
- As much of the suite as you need. The measurement, the reasoning and the software on top — or a single engine wired into what you already run.
- Let humans do human things, and machines do machine things. Your people are for judgement, for negotiation, for care. The arithmetic is ours.
For people
Data this good should reach people too
Everything above is sold to businesses, and we did not want that to be the whole company.
People deserve data of the same quality, in the form they actually use it: an app on the phone, a print on the wall, a calendar that fills itself. Cycles Arc is the same engines and the same seriousness, shaped for a person rather than an operation.

Cycles Arc
Every date in it computed from the real sky.
On the shelfapps, print, feeds, tools
The engines above, turned into finished things for people. Four of them measure the sky, the body clock, the earth and the weather for any place and any date; one press turns each measurement into the object needed.
- Apps — a house app for the day's sky, and small apps for one job each
- Printed objects — plates, maps, almanacs, planners, journals, calendars
- Feeds — calendar subscriptions that carry the computed dates into a phone
- Tools — free, on the site, built to the standard of everything sold
- The press for organisations — the same pages, under another name
Everything on the shelf was computed here, and every page says with what.
Services the other ways to put it to work
Three ways to have the work done: an engine built for your problem, a study of your operation delivered as a book, or an existing engine wired into what you already run.
-
Bespoke software
An engine written for your problem, from the mathematics up: as much of the suite as it needs, carried to the precision the problem demands, and shipped with its own verification. The case for it is set out above.

Operations studies
Send the files that describe your operation — a hotel's rooms and its bookings, a quarter of packing lists — and receive a book that sets out the allocation, the moves to reach it, the bound beneath it, and the hashes that let anyone re-compute it. Fixed price per study; no meter, no seat, no system to install.
Write to enterprise@kairoico.com about a study -
Integration into your product
An engine wired into your app, your scheduling system, your planning workflow or your reporting, with the evidence lines carried through to your users. We do the integration work, not only the key. Licences at volume, fixed price where the engine's own site says so.
